Studies have also concluded that triglycerides are measureably reduced while continuing Red Yeast Rice supplementation. Studies conducted by the American Heart Association in 1999 found a 26% reduction of blood cholesterol in patients who were given Red Yeast Rice, without the serious complications usually associated with prescription drugs.
